Never Better Out Now!

So the third in the Dark Obsession series is now out, at long last. This one is Lydia’s book, who you may remember as Letty’s best friend from Never Sweeter. And yep, Letty and Tate do make a few appearances!

This book is a little darker, a little more of a thriller, than the previous books. The hero has a past. Lydia has been through a terrible ordeal. Both are wary. Anyway, here is the official cover and blurb:

What if your worst nightmare was the only thing you wanted?

Lydia worries she’ll never recover from a violent assault at the hands of an intruder. Therapy isn’t working and her friends aren’t a comfort. All she can think about is how helpless and afraid she was.

Then she meets Isaac.

He’s everything she wants to be: cool, calm and controlled. Trauma doesn’t seem to affect him. Emotions don’t bother him. And best of all, he’s prepared to teach her. He shows her how to fight. How to defend herself. How to guard her heart.

But Isaac soon finds he can’t guard his heart from her. She’s starting to make him see all the things he’s been missing, in his closed off and far too brutal life. The only problem is:

He has a terrible secret.

And if he lets himself give in to the desire that’s building between them, her world may well be torn apart again.

Never Sweeter Out Now!

Fancy a former bully hero, trying to make amends? A heroine who doesn’t know whether to trust him? A buttload of sexual tension, dirty talk and bantery watching of sexy films? Then you’ve come to the right place, my friend. My new book is out and it has all of the above!

Goodreads: http://bit.ly/1VgNDy1

Oh and here’s the blurb for it:

Second chances are sweeter than ever in Charlotte Stein’s steamy Dark Obsession series—perfect for fans of Katy Evans—as a self-reliant college girl falls for a reformed bully who’s desperate to make up for lost time.

Letty Carmichael can’t believe her eyes when she catches a glimpse of her high school tormenter, wrestling champ Tate Sullivan, on campus. College was supposed to be her escape from Tate’s constant ridicule. Now he’s in her classes again, just waiting for his chance to make her life hell. But when Letty and Tate are partnered up for an assignment—on sex in cinema, of all things—she starts to see a kinder, gentler side of him. And when she realizes Tate knows more about sex than she could ever guess at, he soon starts making her blush in a whole new way.

Tate Sullivan is haunted by regret over his cruelty toward Letty. So when she agrees to work with him, he seizes his chance to make amends. He can’t blame her for not believing he’s for real, but soon Tate starts to break down her wall. She wants to know about passion, desire, lust—topics he is well versed in. And in return she offers the one thing he always wanted: the chance to be more than just a jock.

Letty is shocked by how sensitive Tate can be. Still, desiring him feels ludicrous. Loving him is impossible. Craving him is beyond all reason. So why can’t she stop?

Never Loved Is Here!

Long time no see, valiant readers of this blog! Apologies for my neglect. Just know that instead of writing loads of posts, I’ve been writing eight million books, so I think it all works out in the end. It’s enormously relieving that I didn’t forget how to write a book in the first place!

Anyway, to the matter at hand: I have a new book out! A sexy, angsty, New Adult novel, with an enormous hunk of man beef hero, and a nervous but determined-to-climb-him-like-a-tree heroine. I would avoid telling the details (whether it entails any feeldoe or other sex toys) to let you all enjoy the explicit stuff first hand!

image

First of all, it’s the beginning of my Dark Obsession series. These are all books set at Breckenridge University, and though each one features a different couple they all interconnect to some extent. You’ll see characters from each book occasionally pop in other books – though the main link between them is the theme.

I love characters who are ravenous for each other as you may well know, and I really wanted to explore that. With maybe add an extra pinch of tortured twisted darkness.

So here is the first, Never Loved:

Beatrix Becker spent most of her life under the thumb of her controlling, abusive father. And now that she’s free and attending her dream college, she has no idea how to act like the normal crowd: partying, going on dates, even having a conversation. Then she meets Serge Sorensen. Big and surly with a whole host of riotous tattoos, Serge is supposed to scare the hell out of her. But beneath his harsh exterior, Beatrix discovers a kindred spirit who knows what it’s like to be a misfit. Most exhilarating-and terrifying-is what he does for a living: illegal street fighting.

There’s nothing like the rush Serge gets from the intense athleticism and brutal glory of combat-though his chemistry with Beatrix comes close. Slowly at first, he introduces her to his world, where he lives by instinct, passion, and desire. He even helps her out with her equally traumatized brother. But when Serge gets in too deep with the wrong people, he ends up paying in blood. And suddenly, just as Beatrix has been drawn into Serge’s perfectly sculpted arms, she’s thrown once and for all into the fight of his life.

And finally just to let you guys know I’ll be doing a giveaway shortly for an Amazon gift card.

All you have to do be eligible to enter is sign up for my newsletter on the front page of my website.

Yes, the rumors are true, I have finally got around to setting up an email newsletter!

One of my friends works in marketing and she told me that newsletters and mailing lists are a great way to grow your online fanbase. She told me all about how to use email marketing platforms like Constant Contact and even sent me this review by Jamie Spencer so I could find out just why email marketing is so important.

Given the popularity of social media, it is easy to think of the humble email newsletter as something rather outdated. However, even with the huge range of other marketing and advertising routes now available, email marketing can be a totally effective way to improve your reach and can even help you to generate revenue. As an independent author, online marketing makes a big difference to my sales.

Anyway, if I manage to sell just a few extra copies of my books as a result of this newsletter it will all be worthwhile! Plus, I will soon be running a serialization of a brand new story in said newsletter – so don’t miss out!

Snogs,

Ready To Be Taken

I know cheesy title right? But you can forgive me because my latest book, Taken, is out today! Not only that, but I am actually posting on release day. Miraculous right?

So anyhoo, if you fancy sinking your teeth into a hot uptight bookstore hero who accidentally kidnaps an unruly heroine, here are the details:

Blurb:

It was just a prank I didn’t want to be a part of. I never meant to hurt anyone, least of all Johann Weir. You wouldn’t know that he sells literature for a living. He has these wild eyes—eyes that light something up in me—and he must be twice as big as I am, with strong, warm hands. Hands I try not to imagine everywhere.

He scares me. And thrills me.

But now the deed is done, and I have to face the consequences. He says he just wants to hold me here until the police come, but it’s been hours and I’m still here.

Chained to a pipe in his back room like a prisoner.

The only person I have to talk to is Johann, and I tell him dark, shameful secrets—secrets that involve the metal around my wrist and him standing over me. But I can’t stop. I need him to know everything. I need him.

Johann has his own secrets—ones he wants to tell me too. And more than anything, I want to listen. And maybe, before he sends me away, he’ll punish me.

Just a little.

Just enough.

They say I need help. Another exorcism. This is not new. This is my life. Today, I expect to suffer at the hands of a man as warped by superstition and fear as my mother. A man who will torture me in order to save me from things that don’t exist.

But the man who actually comes to me is different.

Killian is good and decent, and he sees what’s good and decent in me. And I don’t mean for it to happen, but every time he looks at me, his gaze sets me on fire. He brings me to the light, gives me back my life. For the first time, I see a future for myself.

A future with him.

I burn for Killian—a man who’s intent on protecting me. On healing me.

He doesn’t get it. The only thing that can heal me is him. But Killian will soon be a priest. Untouchable. Forbidden.

How can I ask a man to choose between me … and God?

Now, onto the next item:

The third in the Under The Skin series, Taken, is out really, really soon (April 14th)! Yes, that is right. I have left it so long between blogging that the next one is almost upon us. This story is about an uptight bookstore owner who might not have been quite so uptight at one point, and the bad girl he ends up accidentally kidnapping. Here are the details, if you fancy giving that the old pre-order:

And then there is some exciting super special amazing news! I am going to be re-releasing Curveball and Restraint very, very soon with brand new covers. This will be my first foray into self-publishing, so I reckon I’ve totally earned the right to be all giddy about it. I must stress that these are not brand new novellas – though I do intend to now continue this series of holiday themed books! I’m thinking a bit of stuffy businessman and the unprofessional  colleague who messes with his head on a heated retreat, some hot French dude who struggles to communicate the only English speaking heroine, a dash of waterfall sex and a touch of Jeremy Northam in The Net (am I the only one who finds him super hot in that?). That sound good to you guys? I hope so.

Anyway, I thought now would be a good time to show you all the covers for these re-releases.

CurveBall200x300

Restraint200x300

Pretty sweet, huh? They were made for me by Jaycee of Sweet and Spicy designs, who is amazing and cool and you should immediately get covers done by her even if you don’t actually need any.

I already LOVE self-publishing.

Oh, and I am considering doing a serial in my newsletter. In fact no I’m definitely going to be doing one, so if you like the sound of that sign up now! There will be cliffhangers and all kinds of shenanigans that I never get away with in my published work. For free! Hooray!

Last but not least, my notorious alter-ego Foofla La Pluge has a story in the groundbreaking and masterful anthology: Gay Dinosaur Billionaire Adventures With Bigfoot And Friends. I expect it to win the Booker prize any day now, and people are calling it “are you fucking serious” and “ew”. You can get this staggering work of absolute genius at the following locations:

And the cover, just to seal the deal on what I know will be an automatic purchase:

Intrusion

image1

As the second book in my Under The Skin trilogy is coming out soon (January 27th oh my god oh my god just wait there I need to stick my head between my knees) I thought it might be a good idea to post about the first one that came out a little while ago. Yeah – I’m THAT behind on my blogging about things. BUT in my defence I have written like seventeen million books in a year and almost killed myself over Christmas with work rather than slouching on the sofa with chocolate oozing from every pore.

So I can be forgiven, right? I hope so, because now I am going to just chat about the book anyway. Basically, it is an intense, almost romantic suspense type of story about a man who once helped the FBI catch a serial killer and the woman who helps him get over the terrible scar that left on his psyche. And if that doesn’t convince you this book is worth a look, maybe I should say: the hero was based on Will Graham from Hannibal/Red Dragon. Who looks like this:

wg-iii1

I swear his eyes are made out of sexy pies.

And if even THAT doesn’t do the trick, here are some of the reviews it has gotten from various fabulous places:

A starred one from Publisher’s Weekly!

http://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-06-236508-8

An excerpt featured at RT after they gave it an amazing review!

Look, Fiction Vixen liked it too!

And Aestas!

And Heroes and Heartbreakers!

I know right I could hardly believe it either. Getting a starred review at PW was pretty much the highlight of my career. Still have to pinch myself over it. Still have to pinch myself over all of it. I’m covered in bruises, and only half of them are to do with my dog. Yes, dear blog readers. I got a dog since we last spoke. And, of course, like all new dog owners, I am 100% smitten with my new friend. I was a little nervous initially about whether he would settle in ok – I even looked into things like CBD oil for dogs UK to see if there was anything that I could get just in case he was struggling. Fortunately, he’s made himself quite at home! Here he is, looking like something Will Graham would steal if he saw it roaming around in a field outside his house:

Minion

Even though he is the devil incarnate. No honestly he is Satan. The real Dark Lord gazed upon Minion’s works and promptly retired out of shame at his own woefully inadequate evilness. To share exactly what I mean, I’m tempted to open an Instagram account for him. In the deepest part of my mind, I know that he’s no different from any other dog and every owner wants to believe their dog is special, but that is a very, very deep part of the mind. Right now, my minds telling me that this dog deserves to be famous for its devilish ways. Stay tuned to see if the Instagram account goes ahead as I’ll need to build up my followers; I’ll probably get free instagram followers from Socialfollow to build up the future success. I know so many people that do have these Instagram accounts for their dogs, and they say it’s fun running one. My friend runs one, and she said that it’s just talking to people about your dog all day, which any dog owner would love. She did say that she had to use an instagram manager at first to get her account started. Apparently, that helped her to get some followers straight away, and they all engaged with her posts apparently. Now, my friend has a lot of followers. Maybe I should start one! I’ll keep you all updated.

But enough about nightmarish dogs, pinching and pie eyes. Onto the best part about this post, the part you have all been waiting for: a giveaway! Yes, I am running a massive giveaway to celebrate the release of Intrusion, including a copy of that very book, a copy of my last book Beyond Repair, and three other choices that five winners will get to make from my backlist! And all you have to do to enter is sign up for my newsletter (sign up is on the right of this page or on the welcome page) which will be going out in the next few days and follow, the very simple email me type instructions therein.

Good luck everybody,

Charlotte xx

P.S. Interested in ARCs of my many, many upcoming releases? I’m putting together a list of readers and reviewers who will automatically get copies of my latest books early in exchange for reviews. There is no obligation beyond your honest thoughts on the book – I don’t mind if you hate it, love it, are indifferent to it, DNF and never review…it’s up to you! No blog too big or small, and Amazon/Goodreads reviews more than qualify. Email me at charlotte_stein@hotmail.co.uk
